Discord keyboard shortcuts
Discord is the home of gaming and community chat, spanning text channels, voice, and video across dozens of servers. Its keyboard shortcuts make server-hopping, unread-clearing, and mid-game mute toggles instant, which matters when your hands are on WASD or you are juggling twenty communities. This cheat sheet covers 42 default shortcuts for Windows and Mac.

Discord shortcut FAQs
How do I see all keyboard shortcuts in Discord?
Press Ctrl+/ on Windows or Cmd+/ on Mac to open the keyboard combos overlay listing every default shortcut.
How do I mute my mic in Discord with the keyboard?
Ctrl+Shift+M (Cmd+Shift+M on Mac) toggles your microphone while the app is focused. For a mute key that works in-game, set a custom keybind under User Settings > Keybinds, or bind the shortcut to a macropad key.
How do I mark a whole Discord server as read?
Click the server and press Shift+Esc to clear every unread channel at once. Esc marks just the current channel as read and jumps you to the newest message.
Does Discord have push-to-talk by default?
Push-to-talk is available but has no default key. Enable it under User Settings > Voice & Video and assign your own keybind under Keybinds.
How do I quickly jump to another server or channel in Discord?
Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) and start typing. Prefix your search with @ for people, # for text channels, * for servers, or ! for voice channels to narrow results.
